opomba: ce koga zadane panika ob branju mu priporocam da gre na Google in vtipka oil sludge in ko bo videl koliko Toyot ima ta problem bo srcni utrip nazaj na normali.

Saab Extends Engine Warranty

GOTHENBURG. Saab has decided to claim liability for engine damage in the current 9-5 and old 9-3 models. All cars will recieve an 8 year warranty, in addition to past damage being repaired without any milage limitation. The only requirement is that the owner has performed regular shop service.

It has been a week since Saabs engine damage problems were revelaed in Saturday's DN. Saab acknowledged that the cars seemed to be troubled by engine damage at an alarmingly high rate, but would not say anything regarding how customers would be compensated.

Saabs answer came yesterday:

- This is our way of claiming responsibility for the trouble and costs that these problems have caused our customers, said Bength Nilemo, VP of GM Sweden (GM owns Saab cars) in a press release.

- It's a rather unique measure, but we are concerned with our customers confidence in our products, and then doing any less is insufficient, especially when dealing with a premium brand like Saab.

Roughly 95,000 cars may be affected in Sweden alone, according to ??

Re:Oil sludge - 13.11.11 22:22 No pa smo naredili servis z menjavo olja na mojem novem - starem 9-3T l 2001 z motorjem B205E. Preventivno smo sneli karter in o usedlinah po 180.000 km ne duha ne sluha. Po nasvetu strokovnjaka, ki je poznavalec več strojev sem predhodno opustil dodajanje čistila, ker bi to prej škodovalo, kot koristilo motorju. Sem pa po nasvetu dodal ob menjavi v olje Metabond M. Menjavo sem naredil, kakor prejšnji lastnik na 10.000 km, a mi kolega zagotavlja, da lahko delam menjavo celo na 20.000 km in da je oil sludge mogoč le zaradi nekvalitetnega oz. cenenega olja. Vsakršno visoko kvalitetno, popolnoma sintetično olje, pa to preprečuje, sploh pa dodatek Metabond M še bistveno zniža viskoznost. Sedaj sem uporabil olje MOBIL 1 0W-40, ki pa naj ne bi bilo edino primerno in zveličavno olje. Kolega mi zagotavlja, da je povsem enako če bi uporabil denimo katero koli drugo sintetiko. Lahko povem, da je motor že prej tekel kot urica, sedaj pa se ga v prostem teku skorajda ne sliši in tudi sicer je tišji ter deluje še lepše, pa sem naredil samo 140 km po menjavi. Vsekakor priporočam ta dodatek Metabond. Pa še to; celoten servis - menjava olja, filtra za olje, filtra za zrak in filtra kabine z dodatkom me je stal 150 EUR.
